Privacy policy
Google Analytics 4 is integrated and, when it loads, transmits data — including your IP address — to Google LLC (USA); no cookie is set in doing so. The final privacy policy will be published before launch.
In short: this website integrates Google Analytics 4 for reach measurement; loading the measurement tag transmits data — including your IP address — to Google LLC (USA). No cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device, because storage stays denied by default and this website uses no consent solution (CMP) that could change that. No advertising network is integrated. For its own purposes, this website otherwise collects no personal data and requires no registration. The calculations run locally in your browser and never leave your device. The final privacy policy will be published before the official launch.
Data controller
This website is a free salary calculator for Switzerland. It is operated and maintained by desymphony. The controller within the meaning of Swiss data-protection law is the operating entity; you can reach it at info@desymphony.com. The website has not yet been officially launched.
What data is processed
Using the calculator requires no sign-up, and we ourselves neither collect nor store any details that directly identify you — not your name, your AHV number, your email address or the amounts you enter into the calculator. All calculations are carried out locally in your browser; your entries are not transmitted to a server and are not stored permanently.
As with the operation of any website, the hosting provider may temporarily process technical connection data (for example the shortened IP address, the browser type and the time of access) in server logs, insofar as this is necessary for secure and stable operation. This data is not used to identify individual visitors and is not combined with other data sources.
Purpose and legal basis
Processing is governed by the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP), in force since 1 September 2023. Technically necessary operations — running the website and storing your language-suggestion preference — rely on the legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service. For Google Analytics 4, which is integrated on this website, the same rule applies to every visitor regardless of where you are: every storage signal starts denied by default (Google Consent Mode v2, deny-first, no region exception). No cookie is set and no identifier is stored on or read from your device — this website uses no consent solution (CMP) that could change that. No advertising network is integrated.
Cookies
On an ordinary visit the website sets no cookie; the only thing stored is a technically necessary language-suggestion preference in your browser’s local storage, so the “also available in …” suggestion does not reappear once you have closed it. One exception is added, and only if you ask for it: the gr_int flag, our own exclusion for internal visits. It is written only when a page is opened with ?internal=1 appended — as a cookie with a lifetime of one year and, in addition, in local storage — and the measurement code reads it on every page view. On an ordinary visit nothing is written. It holds a single flag and nothing about you; you delete it by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Google Analytics 4 is already integrated, but runs cookieless: storage stays denied by default, and this website uses no consent solution (CMP) that could change that. No advertising network is integrated. Details — including the data Google receives even without a cookie — are described on the cookie policy page. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics 4 is integrated for reach measurement, provided by Google LLC (USA) as a third party. It processes data such as the page URL, referrer, an IP-derived approximate location and device/browser type; loading the measurement tag itself also transmits your IP address at the moment of connection to Google. No advertising network (e.g. Google AdSense) is integrated and none currently funds this website’s operation. Google Analytics 4 starts in denied storage for every visitor, everywhere (Google Consent Mode v2, deny-first, no region exception): no cookie is set, no identifier is stored on or read from your device, and there is no cross-site or cross-session recognition. Google receives only cookieless, aggregated pings. That default changes only if and when this website introduces a consent solution and you actively consent through it; no such solution exists at present. Either way, your choice has no effect on how the calculator works. Should an advertising network be added in future, this policy will be updated accordingly. Further information and settings:

Your rights
Under the revised Data Protection Act you have, in particular, the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
- Access — to learn whether, and which, personal data about you is being processed.
- Rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — to request the deletion of your data.
- Restriction and objection — to object to processing or to have it restricted.
- Data portability — to receive your data in a common format or have it transferred.
Since we ourselves collect no data that directly identifies you, our processing is in practice very limited. For data processed by Google as a third party, you also exercise your rights through Google’s tools (account and ad settings). Cookies that have been set can be deleted or blocked at any time through your browser.
Do not send personal payroll data
Please do not email us personal details from your payslip or your salary certificate — not your name, your AHV number or precise amounts. An example is enough for a rough estimate; the calculator processes your entries locally in your browser only and does not transmit them to us.
Supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data-protection law, you can contact the competent supervisory authority:

Contact
For any question about data protection and the processing of your data, you can reach us at info@desymphony.com. Suggestions and feedback about the calculator itself are welcome via the contact page.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy will be completed and updated before the official launch — in particular once analytics or advertising services are actually put in place. The version published on this page is the authoritative one. Last updated: aug 2026.
